The app in your hand and the legal entity behind it
Most Filipinos meet crypto inside an app: a button in an e-wallet, a tab in a bank app, an exchange app from a store. The app shows a brand, but a licence belongs to a legal entity, and the two names are often different. This site lists the brand names and the banks that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas list of virtual asset service providers carries, and teaches the matching skill: find the company name in the app's terms and store page, compare it with the list, and understand when a brand and an entity are the same business.
Open the app's terms of use and privacy notice, and find the company line that names the legal entity behind the service.
Look at the developer name in the store listing and the company line at the bottom of the app or website, then compare it letter by letter with the central bank's list.
When the name is unclear or absent, ask the provider in writing which legal entity holds the permission and which regulator supervises it.
App names and banks on the central bank's crypto list
Each row is either a brand name the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas gives next to a legal entity, or a bank on the list. Entries with no brand name and no bank status are not shown here. The date is the list's own "as of" date.
